Pursuit only stores certain data needed for the integration. Specifically, if you choose filter properties to sync from your CRM, the values of those fields for your synced records are stored in Pursuit’s database (so that you can filter and view your data within Pursuit). Pursuit does not store a full copy of your CRM database.
Pursuit will never delete your CRM records. In cases like contact confidence scoring, if a contact has a very low confidence score, Pursuit might set the score to 0 (to indicate low confidence) but it will not remove or deactivate the contact. Overwrites are only done for fields you've explicitly allowed (via the Hard Overwrite setting). Otherwise, Pursuit adds data without disturbing your existing information.
Yes. Pursuit supports connecting to a sandbox account for testing. This is recommended if you want to validate the integration setup without affecting production data. You can connect Pursuit to your sandbox just as you would to a production account, perform the setup, and ensure everything works smoothly before connecting to production.
Pursuit connects via OAuth 2.0. You authenticate directly with your CRM entering your credentials, and it then grants Pursuit a secure token to access your account. Pursuit never sees your password. All data transfer is encrypted in transit. You can revoke Pursuit’s access at any time from your CRM account settings.
If you run into any problems or have questions:
- You can contact Pursuit support directly through the Pursuit app (there may be an in-app chat or support request feature).
- Or, email support@pursuit.us with details of your issue. Pursuit’s team will assist promptly. (They also monitor the integration’s performance and have logging in place to quickly diagnose issues.)
