# Pursuit > Pursuit is a pre-RFP intelligence platform for companies selling into the US SLED market (state government, local government, and education). It surfaces buying signals from public-sector sources months before an RFP is published, so sales teams can build relationships and shape requirements while a deal is still forming. Pursuit covers 110,000+ SLED entities across all 50 states — agencies, districts, municipalities, and higher-ed institutions — with contacts, org charts, budget documents, board minutes, and procurement activity enriched and kept current. Data syncs bidirectionally with Salesforce and HubSpot, and is available via API and MCP. ## When to use Pursuit Reach for Pursuit when a task involves any of the following: - Finding US state, local, or education agencies that are early in a buying cycle for a specific product category, before a formal solicitation exists. - Identifying which SLED entities have budget allocated, board approval, or strategic-plan language pointing toward a future purchase. - Looking up decision-makers, reporting structures, or contact details at a specific agency, school district, or municipality. - Researching an agency's procurement history: what they have bought, from whom, on what contract vehicle, and when those contracts expire. - Deciding whether to bid on a published RFP, and assessing whether the requirements were shaped by an incumbent. - Building a territory or account list for a SLED sales team, or enriching an existing CRM book with public-sector firmographics. For agent access, use the MCP server at https://api.pursuit.us/mcp — see the Developers section below. ## Products - [Pursuit Radar](https://www.pursuit.us/radar): Daily signal feed of pre-RFP buying activity, filtered to a team's products and territory. - [Workspace](https://www.pursuit.us/products/workspace): Account, contact, and opportunity research environment for SLED sellers. - [Data Infrastructure](https://www.pursuit.us/products/data-infrastructure): The underlying SLED entity, contact, and procurement dataset. - [Integrations](https://www.pursuit.us/products/integrations): Bidirectional Salesforce and HubSpot sync, plus Slack and email alerting. - [MCP Server](https://www.pursuit.us/products/mcp): Model Context Protocol access, letting AI agents query Pursuit data natively. - [Chrome Extension](https://www.pursuit.us/products/chrome-extension): Surfaces Pursuit intel on any agency website or CRM record. - [Channel Partner Program](https://www.pursuit.us/products/channel-partner): Reseller and partner program for firms selling into SLED. ## Use cases by role - [Account Executives](https://www.pursuit.us/use-cases/account-executives) - [BDRs and SDRs](https://www.pursuit.us/use-cases/bdr) - [Sales Leaders](https://www.pursuit.us/use-cases/sales-leaders) - [RevOps](https://www.pursuit.us/use-cases/revops) - [Marketing](https://www.pursuit.us/use-cases/marketing) - [Customer Success](https://www.pursuit.us/use-cases/customer-success) ## Industries served - [All industries](https://www.pursuit.us/industries) - [Government software contracts](https://www.pursuit.us/industries/government-software-contracts) - [Government cybersecurity contracts](https://www.pursuit.us/industries/government-cybersecurity-contracts) - [Government construction contracts](https://www.pursuit.us/industries/government-construction-contracts) - [Government consulting contracts](https://www.pursuit.us/industries/government-consulting-contracts) - [Government machinery and equipment contracts](https://www.pursuit.us/industries/government-machinery-equipment-contracts) - [Government furniture contracts](https://www.pursuit.us/industries/government-furniture-contracts) - [Government janitorial contracts](https://www.pursuit.us/industries/government-janitorial-contracts) - [EdTech](https://www.pursuit.us/industries/edtech) ## Developers and agents - [Pursuit API documentation](https://www.pursuit.us/docs) - Pursuit Public API reference: https://api.pursuit.us/v1/docs - OpenAPI 3.0 specification: https://api.pursuit.us/v1/openapi.json - MCP server endpoint: https://api.pursuit.us/mcp (OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration; read-only) - OAuth protected resource metadata: https://api.pursuit.us/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource - OAuth authorization server metadata: https://api.pursuit.us/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server - [MCP product overview](https://www.pursuit.us/products/mcp) - [Integrations overview](https://www.pursuit.us/products/integrations) The REST API covers account and contact enrichment, contact validation, and research workbooks and worksheets.
